Holiday time is always a fun time to attend parties and events. And don't we LOVE that food. But I don't like my waste line expanding just because I like food. I want to fit in my clothes.
I seem to have friends who have lots of temptations at their parties and dinners this time of year. Are they trying to make my waste line grow? At holiday times, I can often do that without their help, let alone they put all these temptations in front of me.
They must have brought out the fudge crew as there are several variations of fudge. Chocolate Fudge with nuts, and hmm here's some without the nuts. Oh here's my favorite - white fudge with nuts. I'm a goner. I think I can eat this whole plate of fudge just by myself. . . . fast forward: I ate only 2 pieces and I'm satisfied and really don't have to eat all this - wow, how great! I wonder how that happened that I only ate 2 pieces? Oh yea, I took that appetite suppressant before I came to the party - interesting.
I'm really not that hungry. Let me go find some fun people to talk to. Ah, I think I'll join these people as they seem to be laughing and having a good time. But they sure are eating like crazy. Ah that piece of pie looks good, but I feel full so I really don't want any. This is fun just chatting and laughing with some of my favorite people. Kind of an odd experience though as I usually hang around the food and snack tables at these holiday parties. Wow, what a free feeling.
This party is really fun. I think I needed to just have a great time and laugh a lot. I usually am so obsessed with candies and holiday treats at parties this time of year that I don't time to chat with anyone who isn't also hanging out around the food and snack tables.
I think this Holiday season will be more fun this year as I won't be outgrowing all my holiday clothes this year and I can enjoy the season without the guilt. That appetite suppressant is giving me freedom. Bring on the parties!
